Prediction Panel: Feb. 19 Kings vs. Oilers
So, here's the thing. Any hope of the Kings nailing rookie Nail Yakupuv because of his ice-sliding antics from their first match-up have been diminished. According to the Edmonton Journal, he's been relegated to the third line with Ryan Smyth and Eric Belanger, so his ice time will be limited. But worrying about some rookie sliding around the ice is the last thing the Kings need to worry about. They need to worry about scoring. L.A.'s power outage continues, as the club continues to struggle even-strength on with the man-advantage.
In a 3-2 league, the Kings are 1-5-2 when scoring two goals or less. Mike Richards seems to have ignited, but the rest of the team now seems listless.
On the other hand, the Oilers are equally punchless. But they've been pumping the puck at the goal to try and rectify that. The result? 56 shots last game and a 6-4 win.
The Kings are playing their 11th road game (out of 14 to start the season) and I doubt they'll find the magic switch to flip and make this team shake off the doldrums and start playing like champions. My guess: Oilers 2, Kings 1.
How did the rest of our predictors see this matchup?
Reed from Crowned Royal
Score: Oilers 4, Kings 3
Reason: Oil are firing on all cylinders, especially at home, and the Kings seem a little cocky after their great play last week. Hopefully we see Bernier in net again soon.

Ryan from Make Way For The Kings
Score: Kings 2, Oilers 1
Reason: Reason: The Kings will be determined to avenge their heartbreaker the last time they were in Edmonton. While they won't have an offensive clinic (especially if Dubnyk's playing) but the depleted defense steps up for LA to preserve the win.
