THI504: LA Kings color commentator Jim Fox, The Mayor

The Kings finally play at Staples, after a humongo road trip to start the season, so we decided to bring in the heavy guns.

jim FoxThis week we are joined by the Kings color analyst and former left wing Jim Fox (34 minutes in if you want to skip ahead). Foxy lays to rest any concern about the low scoring the Kings had to start the season, confirms the desire of Dustin Penner to get better, what's reasonable to expect from Ethan Moreau and Trent Hunter, as well as talks about Mike Richards, Justin Williams and Jonathan Quick. Always nice to talk with Mr. Fox, as he has some of the best insights of the team anywhere. Don't forget to follow Foxy on Twitter at @JimFox19.

The MayorWe are also joined by The Mayor from MayorsManor.com, whose interview starts at the 46 minute mark. He stops by to get us up to speed with many of the Kings prospects, including Slava Voynov, who made his NHL debut against the Blues on Tuesday. The Mayor talks about Martin Jones, Jeff Zatkoff, Andrei Loktionov, J.F. Berube, as many other players. No one knows the prospects like The Mayor, and we're glad he was able to join us this week. You can follow him at @mayorNHL.

We also break down the previous two games, crown a King of the Week, and discuss the league holding out escrow form the players, as well as the latest feature on HBO's Real Sports on NHL enforcers and depression. Don't forget, you can subscribe on iTunes, so you can get the podcast before anyone else does. And don't forget to like the show on Facebook.
