THI437: L.A. Times' Helene Elliott

The Hockeywood Insider podcastDoughty Watch 2011 is in full swing, and The Hockeywood Insider is on the case. Sort of.

After being duped into Kovalchuk Watch 2010 last summer, Jesse and I aren't exactly waiting by the phone. We aren't that concerned as well, considering the team didn't sign high-priced free agent Brad Richards. So, while we wait to see what the final number is for Doughty, we take a look at the team as it it now built.

We start off by talking about the excellent free agent signing of Simon Gagne, and how he'll bolster the scoring and adds depth to the team. We also discuss whether all the moves Dean Lombardi has made this summer will allow the team to ice a better team in October.

Helene Elliott We are also joined by the L.A. Times' Helene Elliott, who talks about a variety of things, including the Kings signing Brad Richardson, Simon Gagne and how she thinks the team is shaping up.

We also wind up talking about summer movies, and I get Jesse to bust out his Comic Book Guy, as we breaks down how Captain America can be in next summer's Avengers movie, if the first one is based in World War II. Plus, we ramble. A lot.

But hey, it's summer. Don't forget, you can subscribe on iTunes, so you can get the podcast before anyone else does. And don't forget to like the show on Facebook. The Hockeywood Insider podcast is the only place to hear exclusive interviews about the Kings. And we aren't that hard on the eyes either. (Even though it's a podcast.)
