THI421: Former player/sportswriter Justin Bourne
The Kings had a very mediocre week, but that is not going to stop us from bringing the best show we can.
We are joined by Justin Bourne, former professional hockey player and now a writer for USA Today, Yahoo and The Hockey News. Justin has a first-person experience of taking a puck off the face, a la Willie MItchell, and we use that as a springboard for a discussion on injuries in hockey, concussions, playing hurt, as well as steps that should be considered to reduce the amount of injuries in the sport of hockey. Justin has a very unique point of view that is refreshing since he recently played, so he shares with us an understanding of today's athletes. We also crown a King of the Week, then turn around and crown another King of the Week. We discuss the past week where the Kings went 1-1-1 and touch on the Breakfast With the GM. We also meander around the world of hockey, discussing the legal wranglings that are taking place in Phoenix for the Coyotes and the waning possibilities of movie a team to Winnipeg. We also discuss Southern California's possibility of gaining another Kings team.
