THI416: Fox Sports' Jim Fox

Coming out of the All-Star break, we wanted to hit the ground running. And who better to get the stretch drive rolling than Kings commentator Jim Fox.

Jim FoxFoxy talks about Anze Kopitar and the possible positives from playing in the All-Star game, whether Dean Lombardi might be looking more actively to add a top 6 forward, whether the Kings' struggles on the ice are indicative of a letdown from last season, the things the Kings needs to do to wade through the tight race in the Western Conference, who are the pretenders in the Western Conference and whether he thinks this will finally be the year both the Kings and Ducks make it to the playoffs at the same time. Always a pleasure to talk with Jim and he always drop some serious hockey science on us.

We also break down the All-Star Game, the NHL Guardians, and a report in ESPN LA about which team in Southern California is better positioned to make the playoffs. We also touch on AEG's splashy presentation for Farmers Field and their inclusion of the Winter Classic, about which I blogged about on Tuesday.

It's a tight episode of the Hockeywood Insider, so download and enjoy. Don't forget, in case you need a reminder: You can subscribe on iTunes, so you can get the podcast before anyone else does.
