THI410: Helene Elliott, Daryl Evans, Marco Sturm reax

The Hockeywood InsiderIt's been two weeks since we last talked, after we took Thanksgiving off. What a difference two weeks makes for the Kings. In the span of 10 days, the Kings went from the top of the Western Conference to the bottom in a spectacular downward spiral. Jesse and I talk about what exactly went wrong, as well as why fans shouldn't be worried.

Helene ElliottTo make sense of all this turmoil, we welcome two straight-shooters back to the program, the L.A. Times Helene Elliott and the L.A. Kings radio color analyst Daryl Evans. Helene talks about her Thanskgiving, which didn't include a Tim Hortons while she was back in Montreal, as well as what exactly is wrong with the club. She pulls no punches in determining what has gone wrong in the City of Angels. Switching gears, she also has fond memories of two of hockey's good guys who were lost in the past two weeks, Pat Burns and hockey journalist Jim Kelley.

Daryl EvansDaryl then comes on and talks about the feeling on the ice and in the locker room. He has some insight on how players deal with riding a slump and some of the things players do to change things up.

We also crown a King of the Week and King of the Month. (Man, did that month fly by or what?) We also have breaking news Thursday about reports that the Kings are close to acquiring left wing Marco Sturm from the Boston Bruins. Breaking news? On a podcast?!? That's the Hockeywood Insider.

Don't forget, you can subscribe on iTunes, so you can get the podcast before anyone else does. The Hockeywood Insider, bringing you exclusive interviews and analysis about the Los Angeles Kings.
