THI408: Rich Hammond interview

The Kings went 2-0 this past week, and are currently tied for the league lead in points. What better way to celebrate the Kings' early success than bring on the big guns.

Rich HammondThis week we are joined by the L.A. Kings' Rich Hammond, someone who probably watches more hockey than anyone in California. Rich talks about the mood during Ryan Smyth's 1,000th game, the importance of taking advantage of being healthy, gaining confidence when Drew Doughty went down to injury, and whether this is the deepest defense the team as seen in some time.

We break down the last two games, take a look at the latest injuries to Willie Mitchell and Alexei Ponikarovsky and who will take their places in those key positions for the club. We also crown a King of the Week, take a look at the Weekend Returns, and discuss the new Hockey Hall of Fame members and the new selection procedure for the All-Star teams. (It's quite ridiculous.)

But this isn't ridiculous, this is the Hockeywood Insider. Don't forget, you can subscribe on iTunes, so you can get the podcast before anyone else does.

The Hockeywood Insider: the only place you'll hear exclusive interviews about the Los Angeles Kings.
