Since it's summer, we are dying for hockey talk. But nothing has gone on since the great Kovalchuk Escape of 2010. But that doesn't mean we aren't working behind the scenes. In fact, we're gearing up for a whole new season with new features and guests.

In the meantime, we still feel that there's stuff to talk about, so we called our good friend Helene (not Helen) Elliott from the L.A. Times for a short chat about this and that. From Kovalchuk to the lack of leadership in the player's association, it's a good talk with the Hall of Famer.
