The Hockeywood Insider: Prospecting for hockey gold

The summer is almost over, but there's still plenty of hockey to talk about.

This week, Jesse has an exclusive interview with a blogger who has been working overtime this off-season, The Mayor of Mayor's Manor. They talk about the recent Kings prospect camp, and the players who stood out. Players like Nicolas Deslauriers, Jordan Weal and Derek Forbert. The Mayor also shares his thoughts about the Kings' newest player, Alex (Pony Boy) Ponikarovsky, as well as props up Jarret Stoll on his performance in the playoffs. The boys also talk about defensive depth and who takes over for Matt Greene.

Don't forget, you can subscribe on iTunes, so you can get the podcast before anyone else does.

It's an entertaining listen in the dog days of summer. Is this only August? Frozen Fury is coming up, people!

    Great listen guys!

Really good to hear you bring up Nicolas Deslauriers at the prospect camp. Last year he was kind of the unknown 3rd rounder that caught my eye and everything I've heard about him has been nothing but positive. Kinda goes to show how strong the pipeline is. Dude is trying out for Team Canada's WJC team and he's almost an afterthought for defensive prospects.
