Kings fan Jesse James represents

It was announced Friday that the L.A. Kings have joined forces with West Coast Choppers CEO, television personality, Long Beach native and huge Kings fan Jesse James. No, they aren't planning on a special Kings line of chopper bicycles for kids (what do you think they are, Orange Coast Choppers?) No, the Kings and the star of "Jesse James is a Dead Man" are joining forces on a "multi-level marketing partnership."

"What's multi-level," you ask? Well, in case you've noticed, on the visitor-side of the boards that's a huge Jesse James logo. Turns out, Jesse has started his own line of industrial clothing for the working man. In addition to such items as flame-resistant coveralls, welding shirts and safety vests, Jesse has designed normal clothes for both men and kids. And to help promote this venture, James designed a variety of Kings-themed clothing that will go on sale next week, when the Kings play the Blackhawks.

James has been a common fixture at Kings games, usually sitting with his wife Sandra Bullock. He designed a West Coast Choppers Zamboni for Staples Center a few seasons ago. On his Discovery Channel show, Monster Garage, he turned an Impala into an ice resurfacer, which rolled out on the Staples Center ice. But he's a die-hard fan, as was evidenced when he attended a game in the failed 2006-07 season, the Kings worst season in 12 years. Plus, he's a Long Beach original, much like the Kings. Don't forget, they called Long Beach home until the Fabulous Forum was built.

The reason that I'm so pumped is that there's some decent designs. Being a novice graphic-T designer myself, I get excited when I see cool-looking t-shirts.

But the shirt I really dig is the throwback to the old Starter Script cap, made famous by N.W.A.

One can never have too many Kings shirts. They go on sale next Saturday, when the Kings play the Blackhawks. For the complete line of West Coast Choppers-inspired clothing, check this out.
