So, when I originally posted my Jack Johnson pumpkin, I thought it was a funny blog post idea. But now, it seems I've inspired the L.A. Kings into a new contest for fans.

The L.A. Kings Great Pumpkin Carve Out was announced Friday on Hockeywood L.A. The rules are simple: carve a pumpkin and post it on Hockeywood L.A. Winner gets two tickets to a future Kings game. Couldn't be simpler.

They asked me if I could help fans get started, which I replied 'absolutely.' So to start, I'm gonna post two Kings patterns, especially designed to carve into a side of a gourd.

I'll have another Kings player pumpkin later today. But until then, download these patterns and start carving!
