Kings pull off their third in a row

So, the Kings kill off the penalty to start the period, but fail to clear the puck, much to the chagrin of the Staples Center crowd. They finaly do, and the crowd settles down. They are anticipating a meltdown, and who's to blame them?
Loungo makes a HUGE save, after a broken stick leaves the Canucks down to four guys, and Harrold hauls off and smacks one at point blank range.
That meltdown just became a reality, as the game is now a goal away from being tied. The Kings are caught standing around as Taylor Pyatt pops one past Quick to make it 3-2. The crowd is stirred by this, only it's not Kings fans. There's a large contingent of Canuckleheads in the house, and they start waving their Canadiens flags in appreciation of Pyatt's goal.
The Kings are playing some slow-down hockey, trying to burn more time off the clock. Quick is getting more brazen in the net, skating out to play the puck behind the net, but almost coughs it up. It's a mistake that could've cost the team. But they were able to keep play away from Quick as he returns to the crease. Looks like Hextall needs to have a workd with the young man.
Michel Handzus gets the gate for holding, putting a very hesitant Kings squad down a man. But it's the goaltender Quick who is keeping the Kings up by a goal after his misplay earlier in the period. Handzus' penalty comes to the end as the puck is shot out of play, killing the Canucks' momentum and allowing the teams to take a TV timeout. And not a moment too soon, it's been all Canucks this period.
It appears Frolov has been benched in the third. I know he was on the ice for Pyatt's goal, but he's been persona-non-grata since. And the Kings could use his stick right now. Because they can't seem to clear the zone. It's been a white-out in the third, as the Canucks have been turning up the pressure.
The Canucks pull Luongo with an minute left, and the Kings are able to clear the puck with 45 seconds left. The Canucks take a timeout to bring the puck back into the Kings end with six men. It's frenzied down on the ice, with Kings fans on the edge of their seats. A loss here might really drop the team out of playoff contention. A win would bring them one point behind a slumping Anaheim.
The Kings are able to to outlast the Cancusk for their third game of the season.
