Kings sign Manon Rheaume?!?

I knew that the Kings goaltending prospects were thin...
On Sunday, after losing Erik Ersberg to the dreaded lower leg contusion, the Kings called up Jonathan Bernier to fill the void. Who knows, maybe Dean Lombardi panicked and tried to make a deal for a goaltender to L.A. some breathing room.
Rheaume was, of course, the Canadian goaltender who became the NHL's first woman player, when she started for the Tampa Bay Lightning in an exhibition game back in 1992. She also won the silver medal for Canada in 1998.
Actually, Manon was in Park City, Utah along with two teams of celebrity hockey players for the second annual Luc Robitaille Celebrity Shootout. See what I did there?
Of course, Luc was there...

How about Academy Award-nominated film director, Jason Reitman? Reitman, of course, was nominated for directing Juno. He's also the son of the great director Ivan Reitman, he of Ghostbusters and Stripes fame.

The teams were coached by none other than Luc's lovely wife Stacia, and Andie MacDowell. Since the Kings are on a road trip, Bailey decided to tag along as well.
Other notable players scheduled to appear included Marcel Dionne, Tony Amonte, Marty McSorley and Larry Murphy. All the proceeds benefit Stacia's Echoes of Hope, helping foster children.
