Is he... wearing pajamas?

When I heard Dustin Brown was named a Western Conference A-Star, I was happy for him. It's been a nice ride, watching him evolve into the player he is today.

Untill I caught a glimpse of the uniform he is going to have to wear at the game. Wow, simply wow. Seriously, it has two different color sleeves! What, the NHL looked at the prototypes and couldn't decide on a style, so they used both?

Try this at home: cut the jersey in half visually. On the right-handed side, you have a decent looking jersey. The same with the left: although lacking color, it's not too bad. Put them together, and you have a cacophony of style that screams "blech."

Since the game is in Montreal this season, the colors are based on the Habs jerseys. At least they aren't black, which is the new... er, black this year on the third jerseys.

Hell, Sean Avery could've used his experience working at Vogue this off-season to design a better-looking jersey. And why didn't they approach the beleaguered winger this summer? Wait a minute, maybe they did, and this what he came up with. A-ha! Now we know why Sean's getting the bad rep this season. It's not his foul-mouth and bad attitude in the locker room, it's his fashion sense. IT'S AVERY'S FAULT!!!

Am I the only one the miss the old-school orange All-Star jerseys? Who's with me?
