Congratulations Anze Kopi-All-Star

Kopitar has been named to the Western Conference All-Star squad, along with fellow first-timers Ryan Getzlaf and Paul Stasny.

I thought that Cammalleri was the leading vote-getter for L.A., but then I remembered that fans only vote in the starters. I think this is a great thing to see, three young talented skaters, make their All-Star debuts together.

It's nice to see the Kings be represented, but it's doubly nice to see Kopitar become the first Slovenian to play in the All-Star game. Of course, being the ONLY Slovenian player in the league helps.

Although, he's not the only Slovenian athlete in L.A. Can you guess who the other one is? The Lakers' Sasha Vujacic, although I'm pretty sure his 6.1 ppg doesn't quite put him on quite the same level. But, it's nice to see two Slovene players do well in the City of Angels.
