Personally, I think the Kings will send him down. Let Cloutier and LaBarbera mind the store. It's going to be a battle between those two, with one eventually winning the job outright. Aubin was signed as insurance in case one of those two go down, which means that Lombardi has no intention of rushing the kid Bernier too quickly.

Lombardi has said he can't believe that the Kings have never cultivated their own goaltending prospect, which further cements, in my mind, the mindset that the Kings aren't in any hurry to baptize JB by fire.
