"So, what do you plan on doing for training camp?" That's the number one question I get these days. Well, actually number two. Number one is "You still gonna cover the Kings this season?" Lemme answer each one, starting with that one.

The way I see it, I'm not really covering the Kings, like a beat writer would. Rich Hammond, the writer for the Daily News does a bang-up job of doing just that. I'm just a hockey nut, who jumped at the chance to go to games and provide my thoughts in a blog for the Press-Telegram. What started out as a lark has turned into something I couldn't possibly imagine. People actually read my blog. And from some of the feedback I've gotten, some actually like it.

So yeah, I plan to keep on blogging on. Now that I've done a few more videos for the paper, I think I could provide some more of those as well.

So, what do I plan on doing? I'm going to start by going to training camp. I'll shoot as much action as I can, and try to cut together some more videos. I'll also work on getting some interviews. Rich has been doing a great job this summer, keeping up his blog and raising the bar with his interviews. So I'm going to try and do something a little different.

The bottom line is getting the word out to the Kings fans out there. We know that there is a market for this stuff. And even though there isn't a lot of space alloted for it in the actual newspaper, hits for the hockey coverage is tremendous. Second only to the college football coverage of the Bruins and Trojans. So, thank you.
